ABOUT US.
Working on current West End shows BUT with a twist, an example of shows we might work on: School of Rock, Aladdin, Matilda, Mamma Mia, Legally Blonde.
Learning acting, singing and dancing (which includes Street dance) within the hour. Ending the term with a performance to parents with professional stage lights and sound . We also have current performers and people we know in the music industry come to take workshops during the term.
Our classes promote confidence and fun, if your child struggles with confidence but you know they have a hidden performer inside. We are the place to come. We work with each child on an individual basis and we recognise some might want to be in the background and some want to be in the spotlight.
Our Teachers
All of our teachers are Professionally qualified and have an unwavering passion for Musical Theatre and teaching others to dance, sing and act.
In addition to being highly accomplished in their fields, they are also energetic, positive and caring people.
Claire Horton
Owner & Principal
With a long and successful history teaching dance to children; Claire opened Musical Theatre Arts Academy in early 2018.
Claire is a qualified teacher.
Claire has a real passion for encouraging children into the Arts.
Amy Ambrose
Drama Teacher
Amy has been working professionally within the industry for 10 years.
She is an experienced Drama teacher with a degree from Arts Education
Credits include; Casualty, EDF Energy, Buzz Bingo and is currently on tour in "Hormonal Housewives"
Joe Gater
Teacher & Deputy Principal
Joe has recently graduated from Italia Conti with his Drama Degree. He has lots of experience teaching performing arts to children and also helps run the academy.
